The 2008 Annual General Meeting of the New Zealand Sunburst Association

will be held at Worser Bay Boating Club, Worser Bay, Mirimar Peninsular, Wellington,

on Sunday 13 July 2008 at 1400hrs.

Agenda:

1. Welcome and Apologies

2. Minutes of 2007 AGM (see attached file) and matters arising

3. Chairman’s report (this will include a report on issues raised at a forum at the 2008 Nationals)

4. Treasurer’s report

5. Registrar’s Report

7. Election of Officers (refer to 2007 Minutes for current officers- NB the Position of Treasurer is presently unfilled)

8. General Business: From my communications with the exec, and branch reps I anticipate that this will include:

· Update on new boat construction (wooden and fibreglass) + Powerpoint presentation

· Clarification/discussion of some minor measuring issues (eg materials for foils and mast regs)

· Venue and dates for the next Nationals (including taking a longer view of the balance between the north and south islands).

· Travel subsidies to encourage participation in the Nationals from the “other” island (discussion of criteria for these such as placing in recent regattas, track record of ‘making an effort’ / contribution to class etc, need ??

· Other general items

If your Sunburst has previously been registered all you need to complete is the 2007 / 2008 annual registration form.

This form needs to be mailed, along with the registration fee, to your local registrar (as noted on the form) or to The Registrar, PO Box 33 608 Takapuna.

If you want to join a new boat, download the application form, complete it and mail to the registrar at PO Box 33 608 Takapuna.
